Arcus, a passion for leather
Arcus was launched in 1872 in the south-west of France at the heart of the Pyrenees mountains. The Tonon family fell in love with this beautiful area thanks to the pure waters that they used to tan leathers, which just happened to be the family's original line of work. In 1914, they turned toward shoemaking and worked to further highlight their leather working. This constant search for quality has remained one of their top priorities and their expertise in this field is world renowned. A leader in numerous domains such as the use of leather tanned using vegetable extracts, Arcus has kept their traditional heritage while improving their manufacturing techniques and keeping one thing in mind: their customer's comfort.
