Charles Jourdan: Luxury shoes à la française
Before becoming a world renowned luxury shoe brand, Charles Jourdan was an incredible designer from the Drôme region of France. From an early age, he was attracted by entrepreneurship and traditional manufacturing, and Charles Jourdan soon devoted himself to the world of luxury shoes. With a family owned business created in 1921, he was able to produce more than 650,000 pairs in 1960. Charles Jourdan even had the privilege of being the first French shoe brand to be exported to the United States. His signature? High quality boots and court shoes, of course. The inheritance of the company by Charles three children unfortunately broke up the brand. After many judicial rulings and firings, the brand lost the stature it once had. The models, even more rare than before, are of the highest quality and luxury.
