Roberto Cavalli : fashion is an eternal passion
The son of a painter, Roberto Cavalli was born in Florence, in the heart of Tuscany. He chose to study at the Florence Art Institute and focused on textiles and patterns. In the early '70s, he invented a revolutionary leather imprinting technique and he received numerous orders from prestigious fashion houses such at Cardin and Hermès. At the age of 30, he launched his first namesake collection in Paris and Florence. In 1994, Roberto Cavalli presented his first jeans, distressed using high-pressure sand blasting in Milan. "I passionately love being a fashion stylist, because fashion is a part of our lives". That's how the designer describes his relationship with fashion. In addition to his main collection, Roberto Cavalli also designs a menswear line called "RC Menswear", "Just Cavalli" for young adults, and "Angels & Devils" for kids.
